Expressive light
reflection
My favorite photo is my last one where the light is centered straight on the models face. She is a model for people magazine Representing mother nature. I picked this photo because the look on her face is very intense and calm at the same time. Also the details are sharp and clear and the lighting contracts are very good. The ranges of grays to black is very strong and brings depth to the photo.
Double exposure
What images did you select for your double exposure?
-I chose a photo from expressive light that had light shinning from below. The second photo was bark from a tree close up.
How do the objects relate compositionally?
-She is suppose to represent mother nature and the photo overlay is a tree.
How did you manipulate and modify each image?
-after placing the second image over the first i erased around her to make the pattern only on her skin, hair, and clothes.
What steps did you take to merge layers to create a unified image?
-I lowered the opacity of the second photo after i placed it on the first and i erased the surrounding pattern that was over the black back ground.
How do your images relate conceptually?
-my photos relate conceptually because she represents mother nature and the pattern over her body is tree bark.
What concept, idea or meaning does your double exposure convey?
-The idea of this double exposure is to convey how she controls nature

-I visually unified my photos by having an angle looking straight on, incorporating sunsets or clouds, and mostly taking them in the evening.
